Recently Hurricane Dorian devastated the Abaco Islands and left everything completely decimated. These two wonderful people, Daphne and Nick Miaoulis, were amongst those caught up in this and after a week of being told they were missing we found out that they had survived. They had set up Abaco Neem about 24 years ago and planted 8500 trees. They made products and ran tours through their property as well as lodges for visitors. That has all gone, however, 60% of the Neem trees still stand. So, it just goes to show that trees as well as humans can withstand the extremes of nature.

Naturally, we are thrilled that they have come through this and they intend to rebuild their Neem business.
